Our goal at Rescue Upstream is to eradicate human trafficking and the root causes that fuel this awful injustice. We also partner with different organizations that are passionate about abolishing modern-day slavery. Rescue Upstream isn’t just a club or a gathering or a plan on paper – we are a movement of people ready to put our hands and feet to action in order to end human trafficking.
But we can’t do this alone. We need you. You don’t need to change your life, quit your job or become an activist. You can make a difference right where you’re at, in your own sphere of influence. The battle against human trafficking cannot be fought by one person, but requires all of us to come together as one and stand for justice.
Volunteer to do victim outreach or offer your professional services to a local anti-trafficking organization. No matter your talents or skill set, RESCUE UPSTREAM has many opportunities for volunteers to serve. Download the Volunteer Application Packet and view Volunteer Job Descriptions
90% of commercial sex trafficking victims have a history of child sexual abuse, and 95% of child sexual abuse is preventable through education and awareness. When you take steps to prevent child sexual abuse, you are also taking steps to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Visit www.d2l.org for more information.
Foster care children are targeted by traffickers because of their need for love, affirmation, and protection. We can significantly reduce the volume of foster children falling into the hands of traffickers by giving them what they need and long for: healthy families who will parent and love them unconditionally.
